The Way In Which I Became Inspired After Visiting A Tarot Card Reader
Have you ever been for a tarot card reading? I am a person who did take the plunge and as you may well read in the rest of this article I am very happy that I did.
It all started with a discussion in my local pub. I was out with one of my best and oldest friends (Ian). During the evening we had spoken about our usual topics of conversation which included the ladies, work, alcohol, sport and our other friends. Then Ian started to speak about his recent visits to psychic readings and clairvoyant readings. He seemed just so enthusiastical about the whole thing - it was actually a little scary - had my friend been taken over by aliens? Sorry mate just kidding. He had seemingly really enjoyed the experience and stated that he had booked another session with the lady for the following week.
Ian asked if it was something that I would be interested in. I must admit I was hardly bubbling with excitement about the whole concept as was my negative way - I was however willing to discover more.
Up to this point I was the type of person that was rather negative, very skeptical and typically British. I liked a certain type of food and was rarely into anything out of the ordinary. Things such as alternative therapy were not really my thing for whatever reason.
In my life I would not exactly call myself a successful person; I had an average part-time job for an egg donation clinic, a less than average car and had not been that lucky in love and was single at that stage.
In the end I decided to visit the tarot card reader and this lady predicted that my life was about to turn for the better. There was a woman that was about to enter my life and financially things were due to change for the better.
I was not daft and was fully aware that she probably said similar things to every person she saw but despite this I left her office feeling really good about myself - some what inspired. I became some what of a more inspired and upbeat person. I was now walking around with a smile on my face instead of a frown and that makes a huge difference in life. Strangely enough I did meet my present girlfriend soon after and was also promoted at work - what a result!

A Look At The Psychic Today
There have been many different names and titles given to those with psychic powers over the years. Some of the more commonly known names included augur, fortune tellers, and prophets. Their psychic abilities have been termed things like second sight and clairvoyance. Yet, as names and titles change the actual roles of psychics in society and the nature of their powers does not seem to change.
People who are psychic believe that they can tap deep enough into the subconscious to be able to see things beyond what the natural eye sees. Some psychics claim to be able to speak with the dead (mediums). Others believe that tarot cards can be used to predict the future.
Some people see psychics on a regular basis for psychic readings. It is through these readings that serious life problems are solved, thanks to the believed ability of the psychic to see into the deeper workings of a client’s mind.
Many people find that they enjoy having a psychic reading; however, some people are very shaken by psychic powers. Sometimes people find out things about themselves that they really didn’t want to know.
The very first known psychic lived from 1766 to 1815. Dr. Franz Antoine Mesmer has come under some scrutiny in modern days, but in his lifetime he was known as a clairvoyant with the power to heal. Exactly how powerful he actually was will never be known.
Margaret, Kate, and Leah Fox were also prominent psychics in history. The Fox sisters claimed to be able to speak to the dead. People paid to watch them perform their antics, which included objects that seemed to move on their own and mysterious rapping noises. This was all part of the 1948, Hydesville psychic movement.
There were several churches in the past as well, that claimed to be able to speak with the dead and ward off demons. Many people still had a hard time believing all of this. Harry Houdini himself claimed that is was all fake. It would be some time before people would start to accept psychic powers.
The gift of prophecy and tendency to have precognitive flashes has also come into question over time. It is now believed that all humans can have precognitive moments. Think of all the times the phone has rang and you knew instinctively who was making it ring. It is also common for people to call someone else just knowing somehow that things are not right.
A person may also have precognitive, or psychic, abilities if they have a dream about events that actually end up happening. This is sometimes referred to as dj vu.
“Mantic Arts” is another term that refers to a type of historical psychic ability. This is the practice of reading signs and messages through stones, sticks, dice, tea leaves, shells, and other objects. In history, priests were noted to read messages through the patterns made by oil when poured into water. This practice was considered dangerous and was later banned with a penalty of persecution in the Christian world.
The roots of psychic readings go way back to the beginnings of time, where they were ever present in the ancient world. It was known that the King of Egypt kept psychics always on hand as a part of the royal court. They would be consulted for major decisions and of course, they could be imprisoned or killed for giving the wrong answers to the King’s problems.
Of course, no historical account of this activity can go without mentioning the Salem witch trials. Those found to have psychic powers were killed, and that included fortune tellers, by Christians who believed their powers came from the devil.
Of course, there is still a lot of doubt and skepticism surrounding this type of power. While it is no longer demonized, many people still do not believe psychic powers are real.
While the practice of psychics is accepted in today’s culture they do still face a lot of criticisms. Many people still question if psychics are really genuine.
While it is true that some people set up shop as a psychic without any real powers, there are many really powerful psychics in our time. You have to take the fakes with any industry in our day.
There is also ever increasing scientific evidence to show that everyone has some degree of psychic ability which can be enhanced by the right training.
